Our expertise extends to developing carbon emission reduction methodologies and projects, facilitating emission reduction index trading, and assisting regulated entities with compliance in areas such as emissions management, carbon asset development, carbon trading, and low-carbon capacity building. In the realm of carbon finance, Singapore Treasure Carbon collaborates extensively with globally accredited financial institutions to develop carbon asset-backed securities (CABS), funds, and trusts. Since 2014, we have successfully launched two dozen financial products, providing liquidity to carbon reduction and sequestration activities.
CABS serve as financial instruments backed by carbon credits, allowing investors to gain exposure to the carbon market while funding environmental projects that mitigate climate change. Our carbon funds and trusts further diversify investment strategies by pooling resources for various carbon offset projects, effectively spreading risk and enhancing financial stability. Together, these financial tools play a crucial role in aligning capital markets with climate goals, promoting sustainable development, and incentivizing emissions reduction on a global scale.
The Group’s parent company, Shanghai Treasure Carbon New Energy Environmental Protection Technology Ltd. (Shanghai TC), was established in 2010 in Shanghai, China. Shanghai TC is a well-recognized early participant in China’s carbon market and a leading
service provider for low-carbon development. It is also a member of the International Emissions Trading Association (IETA).
